In this passage as we might expect, the Israelites have returned not to God but to their rebellion. Their sin is ubiquitous in these 2 chapters. And, as is always the case, sin has consequences. This portion of Hosea shows what sin leads people away from. It is wonderfully glorious and gracious that after all the Israelites have done to turn away from God, He still longs to shower them with righteousness.

Bad people, good people, and religious people all need the gospel for a common reason.

This week we explore how religious people need to experience the life changing good news of the gospel just as much as any other person on the planet.
Last week we examined how bad and sinful people need the gospel of Jesus to provide forgiveness. This week, we will look at why good people are also in need of the gospel.
The greatest exchange offered in history is God’s offer to us to exchange our sin for Christ’s righteousness through the cross. It is a gift from God that we receive by trusting God’s grace. Embracing God’s grace helps us get off the performance treadmill and walk on the path of God’s grace.
