Whereas God’s love was front and center last week, humanity’s sin comes to the front this week. Yet, as is always the case, God’s enduring love never moves from the center. God is always clear about the depth of our depravity. While this reality is bad, such bad news is no match for the Good News!
As continues to Luke unpack the story of who Jesus is, he has given us greater glimpses of the power, grace, and love of Jesus. His writing calls us to live by faith believing that Jesus is who the Scriptures say he is. As we get into Luke 9:18-50, we see the disciples faced with a similar question, “Who do you say that I am?” This question leads them to consider who it is that they are really following and who it is that they truly worship?

The two most important commandments as laid out by Jesus show us how Jesus desires for us to live, which makes it an important piece of everything we do at Community Alliance.
